Surrey with the Fringe on Top
Today is our last full day of a very enjoyable stay in Portland. It's our third visit, but I hope not our last.
We started the day with a delicious brunch at Bakery Bar, marred only by the elbow-rubbing proximity of a stentorian-voiced young man, who talked incessantly to his female companion. I'll skip the rant -- it's too much effort using an iPhone.
After our meal, we took the bus to the south end of the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade, named after the former city mayor who was one of the major proponents http://www.discoverportland.net/attractions/600-kerr-bikesfor its construction. We walked north along the bank of the Willamette River, enjoying the views of the city, and found my blip -- courtesy of Kerr Bikes.
