Trouble in Berzniki again

It is getting to be a regular occurrence that the bishop wants to get rid of the local priest here. I think this is about the third time. I'm not of the persuasion but I like him and I'd be sorry to see him go. In the picture you can see some of the extensive refurbishment of the church that he has accomplished.

He has been enthusiastic and active in many ways here which is why he was just voted priest of the year in this area, so it is not surprising that his parishioners are upset. Last time they protested day and night outside the church which was nationally newsworthy. There were tents, soup and fires to keep them warm. You can see the banners of support are blowing in the breeze again.

It's not an area I usually take an interest in, but I'll be keeping my fingers crossed at least.
