At the end of every rainbow.....
....... is a donkey or two, or maybe even four!!
Wonderful walk from Dooneen Pier out to the promintory, a small area full of interesting geological features: faulted and extravagantly folded rocks, blowholes, lakes and pools, all bathed in the most incredible showery sunlight strewn with rainbows. Our climbing and scrambling over the rocks was witnessed by four curious donkeys and several not so curious sheep. One here was clearly enjoying paroxysms of pleasure at his scratching post and wondering why the rainbow had singled out his mate.
We were losing the light and could see showers heading our way, so also bearing in mind that we didn't want to be too late for a birthday dinner party hosted by Freespiral(with Earthdreamer in tow we were always going to be a little late), we reluctantly returned to the pier. This view across Dunmnanas Bay was gifted to us at the very end of our walk.
Himself was responsible for the most delicious supper in honour of Lulubelle's birthday. I contributed the richest chocolate cake imaginable (by special request), rustled up in the few minutes before getting in and going out again. With four blippers around the table it's surprising it didn't get blipped, but it disappeared rather too quickly.
