Scarlett - Day 2

Thank you for all your comments, stars and hearts for Scarlett yesterday. She reached the spotlight - starting as she means to go on!

This morning we went to collect her pram and car seat, in readiness of when she's allowed home. Rachel called me to say that she'd been discharged from the hospital, but it'll be a few weeks before Scarlett will leave the neo-natal unit. So this afternoon I picked her up from home and we went back to the hospital to spend some time with our little girl.

She's doing really well, and Rachel has been able to have cuddles with her today. The nurses are lovely and do an excellent job, and the one that was looking after Scarlett, even took some photos of the three of us. But I really like this shot which I took when she came to give Scarlett some milk. At the moment she's fed by a little tube and has a small amount of milk which is given by a syringe.

Scarlett loves her cuddles with her mummy, and as soon as she was put back in the incubator she started crying :-( Needless to say, we couldn't leave until she'd settled down, but we were both able to give her a kiss goodnight.

I'll be back there again tomorrow afternoon - I could sit and look at her all day long, and I'm so proud of my 'little' girl - she's already a wonderful mummy :-)
