The grounds of Eslington Hall, Northumberland

Drove up from Kent to Northumberland today for a week's stay with 8 others at the East Wing of Easlington Hall near Alnwick. We did the same last year, staying in this wonderful "cottage" which is part of Easlington Hall. 5 bedrooms all ensuite, superb kictchen, sitting room and dining room.

The plan is to walk and to visit gardens, coast and other places of interest over the coming week.

This shot was taken just after we arrived, the garden lit by the late evening sun. Could this be a prelude to some good weather to come? You'll just have to wait and see.
