Stenness

Despite a misty start to the day when we were up at Birsay we've had a lovely and busy day.
First we visited Birsay and the delightful Yellowbird Gallery where we indulged ourselves with a couple of prints of Marwick Head :-)
Then we headed to Skara Brae. What an amazing place, unfortunately the mist was still with us so we couldn't see the beautiful beach there :-)
Brodgar was next and the mist was no where to be seen and it was looking lovely in the sun.We then walked on to Stenness and it's majestic stones set in the beautiful Orcadian landscape.
Just time after that for a quick trip into Stromness for a wander round the harbour then back to the cottage for dinner :-)
