Between fen and mountains

Blossom

Today, I decided we would do an easy walk. It was 13 kilometres but only 220 metres of climbing. It took in four villages in one of the orchard valleys. It was lovely to see all the blossom out on the peach, hazelnut, almond and apricot trees. We also walked past an olive grove. There were ten of us and as we were walking a lot of the time on wide paths and minor roads, rather than mountain tracks, it made conversation easier and so it was a more social occasion. We stopped for lunch in a pretty elevated position with views back towards one of the villages (see extra).
