Vigeland

Spent the afternoon in Frogner Park in Oslo looking at some of the sculptures produced by Gustav Vigeland.  I first saw these about 50 (!) years ago on my first visit to Oslo - probably fair to say that I didn't really appreciate them at the time.

The extra is the dramatic statues of Roald Amundsen (and his fellow south polar explorers) - this is at the fabulous Fram museum.

There were three places I wanted to visit today; the Fram, the Viking Ships and the Vigeland statues.  The Viking Ships are closed for a major refurbishment, so I'm just going to have to visit Oslo again!
