Bluebells and the Kirkby Lonsdale Nine (nearly)

The Minx rustled up an excellent breakfast, this morning, before the four of us drove over to Barbon, parking up near the pub, and then walking out along the road to the bridge over Barkin Beck, and back along the other side, through the woods underneath the manor.

It's a lovely walk, and the conversation was easy and enjoyable, and, as you can see, the bluebells are out.

In the afternoon, we tackled the Kirkby Lonsdale Nine, having to substitute Number 9 for The King's Arms as it appears the landlord has left rather abruptly, to the detriment of some people who had booked to stay there this weekend.

I took it easy, having a small red wine in each venue, and we arrived at final pub, the Royal Hotel, just in time for our table and dinner. Nice work!
