Sundowner at Zebra river
After 3 days in the internet wilderness I am finally able to back-blip some pictures. This is being uploaded from a lovely B&B at Swakopmund on the West Coast where we have fast WiFi.
This picture was taken at sunset on our first proper day at a fantastic place called Zebra river. We had gone up to a lookout point above the lodge for a Sundowner and some Biltong. We actually saw zebras on the way up to this spot but I didn't have my telephoto with me (last time I'll make that mistake!). We also had Warthogs and a really cute orphaned springbok running around the place.
Suffice it to say that we have had a fantastic time so far and I have far more pictures than I can possibly blip. I will get some up on Flickr ASAP but this will have to do for now as we are about to go out to a rather posh fish restaurant.
Namibia is an absolutely amazing country. It's really civilised. Everyone is incredibly polite and helpful and it's far cleaner than much of the UK. The roads are a bit of a challenge at times but fortunately we have a large Toyota Hilux 4x4.
I will do some more back-blipping of Tuesday's, Wednesday's and today's pics later.
