Progress, But Not Sufficient
The GOG thought he was coming home today, but because his temperature went up twice in the night they have made him stay another day to make sure there is no infection. He was booked for an x-ray yesterday afternoon, this took place in the middle of the night, well at 0130 hours (1.30am), so not a lot of sleep was had either.
This afternoon instead of coming home we went down to the concourse where this picture was taken and we had a Starbuck’s coffee. Not satisfied with going down to the concourse, he then wanted to take a walk outside. It was blowing a gale and quite cold, but this did not worry him and I had my fleece on so I was not too cold.
The physio people have checked that he can walk up and down stairs; she was left in no doubt when she was as much out of puff as he was. I know they have to check these things, but last time, on a different ward, he was sent home in a wheelchair, because he could not walk; no thought that time as to whether he could manage the stairs.
