horns of wilmington's cow

No Adders at Woodhall Dean this morning, though it was a lovely lovely walk in the early sunshine with the place entirely to ourselves.

Other than that the day off was spent with time in the garden before a quick spin on the bike down to Musselburgh to watch a couple of the horse races. It's something I've meant to do for ages given we live so close, and while there are some aspects of horse racing I've got some issues with, the horses thundering by at full chat are stunningly impressive.

And now, cocktails in the sun in the back garden (loving my own tweak on a classic Martinez with Genever and cherry), before dinner out at a new restaurant (Aizle). Could it be summer has arrived?

Looking forward to tomorrow as well. got mate Fi coming round early to go and see the foxes, then father in law George will be round to go out for a walk and hang around for dinner. And with the sun.... I've started contemplating and planning barbecues with friends round.
