first night

Our first night in Rome was sweet, when we arrived at our accommodation Pop Art we were a little early and no one was available to check us in so we got talking to the waiters in the restaurant next door who kindly helped us out and got a key so we could wait for the B&B manager, therefore we kind of felt obliged to eat there that night which was fine as they gave us free bubbly and 20% off the bill!

We were tired after a day of travelling so didn't get up to much apart from some local exploring, this was my 9th visit to Rome and my first at Christmas time so some street lights were up and it was magical. I took this photo of salt and pepper pots in a touristy gift shop and then we went back and crashed out in our bright green Lichenstein themed bedroom!
