What a a beautiful day. Blue skies and sun, the kind of day that you want to last forever. And where were Nick and I? Painting. We promised ourselves we would finish the job and finish it we did. It looks great and it feels even better for having got the lot done. We rewarded ourselves - and the children for being so patient - with a barbi on the beach with Treegonk. It was GREAT to get out and unwind. Nick sat in the chair with a beer to hand and cooked whilst the rest of us ambled about. The waves were HUGE and I managed to mistime an incoming and got soaked. Nick kindly lent me a pair of his shorts and Treegonk his belt so that I could keep them up! Somehow food cooked outside always tastes so good and this was no exception. We even managed to brew some tea on the little camping gas. A really magical evening with an amazing backdrop. We didn't roll home till well after eleven and woke up this morning (posting late again!) feeling great :)
