I was given my first camera in 1939 - a 16 exposure on Vest Pocket Film - the negatives are the same size as 35mm film by some coincidence. The cost of the camera was 1/6, which, for Woolworths 3d and 6d goods, was actually over the odds! As the shutter is fired by dragging a lever across below the lens only one or two of them are worth printing. Happily one of these is of our next door neighbours.
