Hi everyone
Am an amateur photographer looking to learn more about the mechanics of my cameras - all help gratefully received.
Not a massive fan of post-photo processing (photoshop etc) preferring to try and make the best of what I see rather than alter it all afterwards however I do believe that it has its place for "special effects".
Had to eat my words a little here as I confess to some post-processing on occasions - nothing major though - using PicMonkey for the most part.
I love to travel and, in July 2012, completed my goal to visit all 50 US states - all done since 2003 - the first being Michigan, the last, Alaska.
For March 2014 I organised a blipmeet in Florida with some blip-buddies old and new....... two blippers from the UK, two blippers from Finland and twelve from six different US states - it became known as The Band of Blippers Bash Florida 2014 (BoBB 2014)!
The blipmeet was fabulous - mainly thanks to the people who attended - a brilliant bunch - in fact it was so good we did it again in mid-April 2015 - The Band of Blippers Bash Savannah 2015 (BoBB 2015).
We have just had our third Band of Blippers Bash Florida 2016 (BoBB 2016) - basing ourselves in Gainesville, Florida - yet again, a brilliant time with wonderful friends old and new.
Following three successful Band of Blippers Bash meets we are gluttons for punishment and doing it all again this will be the Band of Blippers Bash Arizona 2017 (BoBB 2017).
My part-time job sometimes takes me to Europe - so I will be looking at the oft-visited places with new eyes to try and catch something interesting for blip and, on occasions, having you guess "Where's BikerBear Now"? (WBBN).
Hobbies include travel, driving, music (RnB soul, old school) reading, watching TV crime shows, cooking and, of course, taking photographs.
I do like the odd glass, or three, of wine or cider.
My beautiful dog, Shadow Dancer went over the rainbow bridge in late November 2015 - many, many tears were shed - we decided to adopt another rescue dog - this one from Romania - couldn't be more different from Shadow - we called him Whisper (he was so skinny and underfed when we got him he was like a Will 'o the Wisp) - he often features on a Wednesday (Whisper Wednesday).
I love blip and all the blip-buddies I have made around the world.
Thank you all for your input, dedication and, above all, your wonderful pictures that I never tire of seeing.
~Anni~
