My name is Martin, I was born in Ilford. I lived and worked in East London up to nine years ago when my wife and I moved to Frinton-on-Sea in Essex. UK.

I have been taken pictures for a long time but in 1976 I got my first SLR, a Pentax Spotmatic and thee prime lenses.

In the early 80’s I took a GCE in photography. Though the latter  1980’s and 90’s the cameras barely saw the light of day and then Digital came along and it kick started me back into the hobby.

In 2002 I joined my first Camera Club Woodford Photographic Society. This is where I met my now Wife who is also a photographer.

Around 2005 my wife and I took our City and Guilds exam in photography which we found very interesting as we had to go back to using a film camera for the course.

In 2006 my wife and I joined Upminster Camera Club and were mainly active in the AV side of things.

Since we moved to Frinton we joined Clacton Camera Club which we both enjoy very much. 

4 years ago I became Vice Chairman and this you season 2021-22, I became Chairman of Clacton CC. 

Sunday the 12 September 2021 I return to Blipfoto after a five year break It's good to be back.
