Welcome to my blip page, and thanks for visiting.

I've started this project as a means to improve one very specific aspect of my skillset - flash photography.

I admit I don't have a clue re flash - when to use it, how to set it up, how to get the best results, etc. I usually stick it on auto (TTL) and go with it, usually with OK-ish results but most of the time I have to do some post-processing to correct anything that's gone wrong.

So I hope through using flash everyday and hopefully some basic guidelines from the internet, I can start to understand artificial light and hopefully master it.

The humble equipment I shall be using includes:

Canon 550D
Canon 430 EX II Speedlite
Canon 50mm f/1.4
My Son
