I have been stablehand in the Australian Horse Racing industry for 7 years. Seeing the sweat, blood and tears of the behind the scenes of racing, I decided its about time someone brought that to the attention of the public instead of the final glamour winning post shot.
Its the strappers and stable riders that work behind the scenes.. day in and day out that never get any acknowledgement at the end of the day. Its a shame really, because its these people that know the horses better than most.
These people that share a laugh in the good times with these beautiful creatures, and the frustrations when they almost put one into tears! The hours and the weather they work in shows just how passionate they are about their jobs.. that or they are all just mad!! lol

I have always had a an intrest in photogrpahy and horses. This christmas I was lucky enough to recieve a Lumix panasonic camera from my darling boyfriend. I think he knew I needed a Hobby more than I did!
