V and I have been blipping for a year now and I posted my 365th blip this morning, the 11th April 2013. Consequently I've decided that it is high time that I became a fully paid up member.

We live in South Staffordshire, very close to the point where the counties of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and West Midlands all meet. We moved here so that we would be closer to Wales and would not have to drive through the West Midlands conurbation to get to our caravan holiday home in Montgomeryshire. My main hobbies are gadgets (particularly of the computer kind), music (non-classical and mostly pre-1990), wildlife, photography, reading and driving for pleasure. We call ourselves Luvredkites because we do.

On reviewing my blips I feel that I come over sometimes as pompous or supercilious but that must be how I am. (V hasn't argued this point.) Although I am really keen on photography, I feel that only one or two shots that I've posted are any good. I find that often I put myself under pressure trying to post a blip every day and this is reflected in the majority of my blips, which I think are mediocre. Still, I shall keep trying.

I had a heart operation in late 2011 and my recovery linked with Action Heart three times a week have kept me more or less tied to home. However, I shall be more or less fully recovered soon so that I hope to be out and about more, weather permitting, and thus able to continue my pursuit of Red Kites in Wales which are my first love, ornithologically
