On 2 July 2014 I completed a challenge to post a photo on Facebook of something that made me happy for 100 days in a row. After posting my 100th photo, I was overcome with a feeling of loss, that I would miss having to find something to capture every day that made me happy. I have always thought I was a pretty happy and positive person but the challenge forced me to think about what was good in my life, even on bad days. Some days it wasn't easy, particularly if I had done nothing more on the day other than get up, go to work, come home and go to bed. Sometimes I found it hard because I forgot to be grateful for the little things and enjoy the simply things in life that made me smile or make a bad day just that little bit better. The biggest thing I learnt (or was reminded of) over the past 100 days is that there is so much in life to be happy about, if you choose to find it every day.

So in celebration of happiness I am going to continue to post daily on this personal blog and write a paragraph or so about why I'm happy that day. If it feels right I will share this at the end of my second 100 days. Here's to another 100 days of happiness!
