I take pictures of anything I can think of but most of all I am becoming very much a portrait junkie.
I'm just not so interested in trying to get a new angle on pictures of squirrels or dandelions. For me the dandelions are all the same, no matter how you shoot them.
With people it's different - even if it's just a basic mugshot it is still always unique because the people are unique. Also with small changes in posing, angle, background, lighting or pretty much anythin else may change the portrait into something completely different - much more so than with dandelions.
I don't like dandelions.
Squirrels are ok, I guess.
Anyhow... Most of the time the people modeling for me are my family members but occasionally I manage to capture someone else too.
Then, when all else fails, there's always self-portraits.
