I was born in the decade of flares, tank tops & bad hair (1971 to be precise) in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. People expect me to say that I was “born with a camera in my hand!” and that I have “breathed photography ever since”… But the truth is, I wasn’t & I haven’t…

I got my first “real camera” when I was 35…

Since then? I’ve pushed my creative self to the limit to make the images I produce worth showing others, otherwise what would be the point?

I love what I do and I’ll point my camera at most things, but people & portraiture is where my passion is at. Sometimes I also do a bit of writing, making music and a little film & music video directing too. Why? I am my own boss, a creative, and some days that’s just how I roll…

I like to pass on my knowledge too, so I do private tuition and also lecture at college, but I am not a teacher or a preacher…
