More Kelvingrove Statues
Had to miss 5's tonight as my knee is still pretty sore and there were too many players so I decided to drop out. I really need to get back to playing twice a week as the difference is very noticeable.
As it turns out, my wife took my car because hers is in the garage (how does that work!!) and I had to get the train in so I couldn't have got to the footy anyway!!
The fault on her car is due to an O2 sensor. I asked them to do a service as well as it was just about due. Supermarket petrol is apparently to blame for a 'lean burn' whatever that is.
This photo is Lord Roberts (well the plinth underneath Lord Roberts). The exploits of Lord Roberts have also been commemorated by the Dundee poet William McGonagall who, in his poem General Roberts in Afghanistan, summed up the soldier`s achievements with the words:
Success to Lord Roberts; he`s a very brave man,
For he conquered the Afghans in Afghanistan,
With an army about seven thousand strong,
He spread death and desolation all along.
