Lichen-covered gate

I've seen the wonderful lichen on this gate a few times. Today the gate was closed and so I could take a photo without venturing onto somebody's drive. For about two weeks, the gate was open and inaccessible for photos.

A miserable, grey day today. It hardly seemed to get light. I decided to risk a walk along the local lanes and got caught by the rain at the furthest point from my office. A soggy dash back ensued.

Spent the whole day doing some very overdue updates to a website. Nearly done now and the new pages should be ready to go live tomorrow. Hurrah!
