You gotta liaF
Triple fail in fact.
Stood around on a quiet back road in the middle of nowhere for 45 odd minutes to try and capture some star trails. But it clouded over and all I ended up with was a big murky shot of something distinctly indistinct. Not sure the chap in the big 4x4 who stopped to ask if everything was OK was convinced that I wasn't up to anything decidedly dodgy in the dark. "Just taking some photos of the stars" sounds pretty weak and implausible down a very secluded country track in the pitch black.
Resorted to an indoor blip after spending the next hour trying to find the paperwork to pay the car tax that I meant to do over the weekend only to find the whole DVLA/DirectGov website was down. Had to phone instead (couldn't face a queue of 50 people all trying to renew their car tax at the Post Office tomorrow) and endured only one failed attempt at typing in the 16 digit reference number without a mistake which sent us right back to the start to listen to the same legal mumbo jumbo all over again (I took a bit of a tantrum at the stupid handset and the recorded voice told me to come back later when I was in a better mood).
Final fail was not reading the instructions on how to do this holographic text stuff.
Well, that's February done. March MUST be better surely?
