Quarry

Went for a walk with Pesky Princess after school today. Was going for a quick blip of Kingoodie again, but when we parked the car she spotted a tunnel under the railway line and asked what was through there. I had no idea, so we quickly explored and found this.

Its an old quarry site, now flooded and full of wildlife. We will be back soon to explore and take more shots, as I've never been there before.

Apparently the stone from the quarry was used to build the first major docks in Britain, London's East and West India Docks, the Bell rock lighthouse, Camperdown and Victoria Docks as well as Stirling and Falkland palaces. You learn something new every day!

This explains why the old doc at Kingoodie was made of massive stones (obviously from the quarry). That's some more things i can blip when short of ideas!
