Aphids on Chives
Yesterday I fed peanuts to geese and was rewarded with a super close up of a Leathery goose foot. I, like others, was surprised at how reptilian it looked. I did use a zoom lens so my fingers and other body parts were a safe distance from the honker.
When I got home yesterday my neighbor was out tending his patio garden and we were looking at his chives. They are completely covered in aphids. He did me a great service by letting them sit for one more day so I could make a run at them with the close up rings on my 50mm lens. It is raining so I had to do it fairly quickly. I had the white balance set a bit whonky on the camera so this is how the shot came out, no PS coloration here. As a matter of fact, I tried to fix the color and it was not working.
This is another step on the learning how ladder, so there is not the clarity I would hope for. I should have had my tripod out and all of that, but the rain was talking and frankly I did not want to bring that aphid infested pot into my house to set up with a light and what not.
It is raining and my nose is dripping. It si supposed to rain all week, I hope my nose clears up a bit sooner than that.
