Decision-making

This year's trip away for the Music Group is to Vienna. We booked our flights last week (going out on 29th April, returning on 4th May), so now it was time to think about accommodation. I'd done some preliminary research and had two possibilities on a short list which we considered yesterday. It really was a bit premature to think of making a decision on the basis of just two alternatives, so I held off firming anything up until some more investigation happened. Carl got the ball rolling last night with a couple of links he sent me, which in turn led to picking out a few further possibilities. It very quickly gets confusing trying to tremember the pros and cons of several alternatives, so I hit on the idea of putting together a Google map showing where places are and doing a bit of a descriptive summary for each option.

It was all a bit time-consuming, but it definitely helped focus the mind and made it much easier to come up with a list of places to make enquiries with. All the options are apartments, since that's what we're happiest with.

Since I'm back-blipping this a week later (which seems to be more the rule than the exception these days: naughty me!), I can confirm that our final choice is the place in the centre of the group of three in the top right corner. It's a studio apartment which we've got for just 60 euro per night, a really good deal.
