the theme tonight is hearts and heart ache

Tonight mum rang to say that while she was away at her brother's funeral, her breathing got very tight and she has been admitted to hospital up there. What a shitty week. It is better she is up there as Christchurch hospitals are stretched to the max. I know she is in the best place but she seems a long way away.

Then Kariba freaked out as there was an earthquake in Wellington tonight. Now Wellington is supposedly NZ's earthquake city but still, the timing was not very kind on old Mother Nature's part. It was a 4.5, 40kms deep off the coast. So now Kariba seems a long way away!

Then while I was talking to Kariba, we had a big aftershock - a 4.6 that was only 5kms deep.
