To See the Sun Rising

It's a wonderful sight and first time this year that I've seen it on my way to work so this was taken doing 60mph at 7am just above the fishing village of Johnshaven on the coast road north to Stonehaven.

Having had a long weekend off it was amazing how much lighter it was this morning than it had been even just last week. Mind you, the fact that we've now actually got some sun makes a huge difference.

Watching a sun rise and set will always be something special for me especially following the winter months when I've had to drive to work and return home in the dark. Today's wasn't the greatest of sun rises (nor best of photos) but with it comes anticipation of spring and summer and all the new life and colour (and warmth) that comes with them.
