I was delighted to come downstairs with Katie this afternoon to see the lounge flooded with sunlight and beautiful shadows. It's felt a long time since we've been able to use available light in the lounge and I've missed it. With the nasty halogen mini spotlights in my lounge (only half of which work) its been a winter of horrid- and rather changeable- white balance, wierd shadows, a great deal of grainy pics and frustrating photographically. Whilst the shadows present their own challenges, I was delighted to see her shadow cast against the wall as she played, lit up by the beautiful, spring natural light. Hurrah!
We had a lovely morning, although not the one planned. The church where we go for tea and toast has been burgaled, by mindless teenagers it seems - they came in purely to cause a mess and make damage, which I see as even more sad than someone who believes they have a need for money, others' property to sell.
But anyway, a few of us still wanted to do something together so turned up on the doorstep of a friends' for our own tea and toast morning! The three children and three mummies all had a lovely time. Emma and Katie spent ages playing in a blind, despite there being a room full of toys, and then a long time stood at a toy keyboard, singing and dancing away.
Katie had eaten a good breakfast but still ate all her toast, half a banana, a mini pack of animal biscuits and two cheese straws. I felt that was lunch dealt with! Good job really, as she fell asleep. She's just troughed two frubes and a load of raisins too. We'll go out for a walk in a bit, burn off her two hour sleep that she's just had.
Thankyou so much for the really kind comments, stars and hearts yesterday. I decided on a change from our 'norm' to do something I wanted to record for little miss.
