Good day :)
I had to take the day off work today as I was due in college in the late afternoon. I took advantage of my free day to enjoy the sunshine and have a meander round the city on a "blip-hunt".
While I was sitting in Princes Street gardens peacefully eating my lunch (bliss) I was looking up at some of my favourite houses in the city. I don't know anything about architecture, but Peapod informs me they're Edwardian, and they're up on a hill looking out across Princes Street and beyond. Not a great description, but if you live in Edinburgh you probably know the ones I mean. So, anyway, I took a wander up in that direction and I found this beautiful street. I would actually love to live here - so peaceful as well as so beautiful, and the views are AMAZING.
Things I learned today:
1. If you have no sense of direction, it is absolutely possible to get completely lost in the centre of the city you've lived in for 6 and a half years.
2. There is nowhere on earth that Google Maps on my iPhone can't find me and rescue me from :)
3. If college tell you you need to come in for an hour to complete some essential work, they really mean they're going to hold you hostage for 3 hours and teach you how to work out percentages, despite the fact you have A-Level maths...
