Mythophone!
This is a Mythophone, stumbled on by accident in the Bluecoat garden in Liverpool.
This is a solar-powered mythophone!!! It is said to generate "soundscapes".
According to the blurb in Liverpool Discovers:
"
Explore Liverpool's 'secret gardens' and share their unknown secrets, fantastical facts, tall tales, myths and poems through a series of curious metallic 'Mythophones'.
Press a button and listen as unknown stories and facts about each sculpture?s unique location are revealed.
"
The reason we were in Liverpool is too complex to explain here. However, 1 March turned out to be a splendidly sunny and springlike day on Merseyside.
Here you may find a small photo-gallery of things found during our short afternoon visit.
I have been very keen on the 'Philharmonic' pub since we lived (near) here in 1963 to 65. I really love the little side rooms given the names of famous composers.
