At the end of the day

The long awaited first day back at school and a quiet moment at the end of the day in one of the corridors. A few hours before this, 400 Grade 3ers were hauling their new textbooks along in their very best first-day clothes and the first fights and new friendships of the year were staged here. English Department was spared teaching today but first day with the new Grade 6 tomorrow. Yikes.
