Day of 1 of 6 day visit to Dad - Heading East

I am on my way to step in to care for my Dad for for 5 days. Dad is almost 94, and still swift of mind, but ailing in balance and strength. His wife has said that he may not be alone at all, for he will fall. Now my Dad raised the 4 of us to be the most independent of creatures, which we are. I can hardly believe this edict of being with him at all times is right on.
