About pleasure

Why do we need to experience pleasure? I think it is partly escapism. We want to escape the reality and ourselves. We do many things to avoid looking deep inside. We have all kind of explanations why we think we need pleasure. Of course there are different kind of pleasures, some of them are bad for you, some others good.
