I wholeheartedly approve of wedding rings for both sexes - they provide a symbol of lasting union which not only connects two people but also says 'back off' to others.

However, even in circumstances which mean that there would be no possibility anyway, sometimes the sight of a ring makes me think, 'B*****!'
