Inside Job

Banks! A shot up the road opposite the workplace I visited this morning - later I was back up there to the Cameo to see "inside Job". Is there anything new to say about the financial collapse of 2008? Well yes, actually. It's an American movie, and pretty much centred on the events in the US, and I hadn't realised how many of the major players who presided over the crash went on to occupy key roles in the Obama administration. Naive to expect anything else, I guess?
Where the film really hit home was in the interviews - those plums who agreed to be interrogated (and a great many didn't) seemed to believe they could exonerate themselves, but when faced with the simplest of questions around issues such as conflict of interest seemed unable to answer. They should be made to bloody well sweep the streets.
