D?accord so today was a good day. It may have been a relatively early start of 6:15am?woop... The water was turned on late last night so hooray for a shower in the morning! It was a tad noisy turning it on as there must have been a fair few air pockets in the pipes?mmm?gave me a bit of a fright..
The drive down to Dunedin was entertaining to say the least. There were a few stop off, and while mother worked a little bit Nick, KIRSTY, and I mucked round in Ashburton and Timaru. The awesome thing was that we came across two aviaries with the CUTEST birds!! I may possibility want a lorikeet now?.
It was so great to be able to get in contact with one of my closest friends who just moved down to Dunedin. After some nagging and persuading I managed to get her away from her study to come have dinner with me. She kept telling me how strange it is to her as she?s missed the earthquake and how completely useless she feels being so far away. Strange ae?
On a similar note of the earthquake, being out of Christchurch is really strange for me. I do know it sounds strange but other cities just aren?t affected and it?s really strange seeing old churches and buildings still whole and standing?
The most annoying thing is that I?m so much more jumpy than I expected. With the slightest bump, or bang the sudden thought of another aftershock comes in to mind and the fear of the buildings and other?s lives?pathetic ae?
Well enjoy:)
