26 miles
Apologies to any of the lovely people who subscribed to my journal yesterday and are expecting to see something more interesting than this.
It's cold and grey outside and I still have the macro lens with me in the office so pounced on the opportunity to try it out on something different when skippygirl appeard in the office with her fancy road bike.
The mad fool is training for a mini-triathlon and cycled into work this morning. So what? I hear you say - but she lives 26 miles away and had cycled the whole way. I was impressed :-)
As always, I'm not entirely happy with this - bikes, it turns out, are tricky things to do macro photos of, without a tripod and especially after almost blinding myself and risking the sensor on the camera by trying to photograph the bike's headlight which is a super-bright halogen thing that bears more than a passing resemblance to Wall-E. My eyes still hurt.....
I was going to convert to black and white, but in the end, decided that I liked the colours that go nicely with the general abstract* feel to the photo.

And regular viewers will know that every now and then I bang on about a trip from Moscow to Beijing that I did. I've decided to put some of the photos from the trip here on blip. If anyone fancies a shufty, they start here. There are quite a few, so if you don't fancy flicking through them all, then my favourites are:
- Mongolian herdsman
- Mongolian shamans
