Iron on the shore
Out to Deerness and walked from Skail along the cliffs of Roanaby, past Tammy Tiffy, Back of the Breck and Grenigeo Taing to the Point of Ayre. then to Newark Bay and on to Dingieshowe. More birds now; hundreds of fulmar, also razorbills, black guillemots and others. A raven got upset; I spotted her nest fully-lined but without eggs as yet.
This piece of iron on the shore must be part of old farm machinery which the farmers of ye olden times chucked over the cliffs when they were done.
