D - Doggie

This is a bit dark, but I liked how the morning sunlight was beaming down the walls and the stairway.

During WWII, when the Japanese forces were approaching to occupy Negros, most of the families either fled up to the mountains to hide or moved to other nearby islands. There is a story about my father-in-law who had a dog that they had to leave behind when they evacuated up to the forest. They feared that his barking might be heard by the Japanese and their hiding place would be discovered. A few days later, his dog suddenly appears at their campsite with his paws all bloodied from the walking. Amazing animals, aren't they?
