Friend or foe?

I've been brought up to chase cats out of gardens (unless they live there, of course!) No offence to cat owners, but my mother (and grandmother) didn't like them digging up their plants and leaving poo all over the place - not to mention their attitude to birds!

But I like this one, which often comes to sleep in our communal garden - it's pretty messy - and he often sleeps on top of the wheelie bins. He's (though he may actually be a she) very cute with little white socks :) Happy to let me take some shots today after hanging out the washing, but when I got too close, he ambled off back over the road, presumably to whichever house he lives in. Given that I have a very busy Saturday while Jem is at work, this will have to do for today!
