A Crazy Nation
Norway has gone completely off it´s hinges these days, with The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. Thousands and thousands of people (literally!) have taken to the woods to watch the games, dressed in flags and hats in our national colours, they have made complete villages in the snow to stay close to the tracks, they sing and make as much noise as possible with cowbells and trumpets and their own voices. In the evening about 100 000 collect in the town center to watch the prize giving. Quite frankly, this seems like one long party.....
...and today I went into the woods with my very dear friend Anne-Kari. Just to watch........... :-)
Ps. This is Holmenkollen Ski Jump. The old jump was torn down and rebuilt especially for these championships.
