Like many small clubs, our matchdays run largely because of volunteers. The programme sellers, the tannoy announcer, the ball boys. All for the love of the club.

The ball boys are rewarded for turning out in all weathers with a half-time treat such as the one you see here. There is no substitute.

For the record, Stirling were 1-0 up when this was taken and went on to a commanding 3-0 lead with 15 minutes to go. A strange sending off and a poor tactical change and the opposition scored 1, 2, 3 and finally a gut-wrenching winner in the last minute. We lose 3-4 and look certain to be relegated.
