Shall we just look at the dessert menu?
Mum and I went to Newcastle in time to have lunch before the matinee of Faith and Cold Reading at the Live Theatre. I had pasta and she had a sandwich - all well and good. Then the fatal mistake - we looked at the dessert menu and each had a fancy icecream. Mum's was supposed to be all lemon things - the Ravello, but when it came she had been served the Piscara which suited her better. It was packed with strawberries. We don't usually have those at this time of year (sort of on principle because they are not English). As you can see she is enjoying the whole dessert experience!!
The play left us wondering if we would ever again enjoy tomato sauce, brown sauce, mustard or Mars bars........ It was a disturbing black comedy where we really wondered if we should be laughing when someone had just been murdered on stage. Do go and see it if you can: Faith and Cold Reading by Shaun Prendergast
