Blast from the past - downed by earthquake!

This lovely old Imperial typewriter belonged to my mother-in-law and came to us after her death, just before the advent of computers.

It has sat on this shelf for a loooong time, only to be unceremoniously dumped on the floor by the earthquake shaking the table and breaking the shelf!!

Not a very dignified experience for an old timer! I guess it's historic now, as typewriters pass into history (you know you are getting old when things you used are now seen in museums!!)
