Artistic door knocker
I got an early-morning call from a client who wanted a job done urgently to a very tight deadline. I met him in town to discuss the feasibility of meeting his needs and impulsively told him I could deliver in the very tight timescale he wanted. Realising that I'd be slaving away for a while, and most probably working through the night (which later proved to be the case), I took advantage of being in the old Georgian part of the city and caught a few shots before returning home to get down to work.
This door knocker is on a house in Lower Baggot Street which bears an Dublin Tourism plaque to the effect that the artist Francis Bacon was born there on 28th October 1909.
