A Real Photographer

Off to the Burrell Collection this afternoon to see the work of a real photographer, John Thomson. Made me feel a bit of a cheat with my modern DSLR and instant imaging compared to the efforts he had to go through to capture his images of China back in the 19th Century. Fascinating exhibition, particularly if, like me, you are interested in Eastern cultures AND photography. Additionally the Burrell is always such a wonderful venue for art...not least becuase they allow photography!
